Three more Irish records have been broken at the World Swimming Championships in Rome this morning.
The women's 4 x 200m freestyle team shattered the old record by a full 36 seconds after completing their heat in 8:09.34.
Karl Burdis also set a new mark of 2:04.34 in the men's 200m backstroke, while Clare Dawson clocked a record time of 56.32 seconds in the women's 100m freestyle.
However, they all failed to progress to the next stage of their respective events.
Fiona Doyle and Andrew Bree also failed to qualify in the 100m freestyle and 200m breaststroke respectively.
