Priestley through to last 16 in darts championship
Wednesday, 27 December 2006
Dennis Priestley is through to the third round of the last 16 of the Professional Darts Championship in Purfleet.
The third seed claimed a 4-3 victory over Dutchman Dane Per Laursen.
Priestley, who was down 3-1 and had to mount a strong comeback was delighted with the result.
"I'm so relieved," he said.
"It's unbelievable that he missed so many doubles but they weren't far away - they were all on the wire. To have had that sort of luck someone must be looking down on me."
He will face Andy Hamilton on Thursday for a quarter final place.
