Roche disappointed with lack of stage win
Monday, 27 July 2009
Ireland's Nicolas Roche says he achieved some on his goals at this year's Tour de France, but can't help feeling a little disappointed.
The son of Irish cycling legend Stephen Roche finished 23rd in Paris yesterday behind winner Alberto Contador.
He says he is proud to have finished in the top 10 on six of the stages, but would swap them all for one stage victory.
