Brian O'Driscoll has expressed his outrage at comments by South Africa coach Peter de Villiers on eye gouging.

The Springboks coach backed Schalk Burger - who was banned for eight weeks for an attack on Luke Fitzgerald - and claimed it was just part of the game.

He also stated if people didn't like it they should take up ballet.

O'Driscoll, who's flying home tonight after suffering concussion in the same match, said he found the comments appalling and a disgrace.
