O' Gara to captain Munster in clash with Scarlets
Thursday, 27 November 2008
Ronan O'Gara will captain Munster when they resume their Magners League campaign against the Scarlets at their new ground in Llanelli on Friday evening.
O'Gara is one of seven players involved with Ireland last weekend included in Munster's first trip to the Scarlets new home.
Paul O'Connell, John Hayes, and Alan Quinlan are rested with Mick O'Driscoll, Tony Buckley, and Donnacha Ryan starting.
David Wallace, Jerry Flannery and Rua Tipoke are injured, so Keith Earls comes in at 13 with Paul Warwick at full back, while Niall Ronan and Frankie Sheehan are named at seven and two respectively.
Denis Leamy has recovered from the shoulder knock he picked up against the All Blacks to celebrate his new three-year contract starting at eight.
