Teams for Third Test to be Announced Today

Thursday, 2 July 2009

Both teams will be announced today for the Third Test of the Lions Tour of South Africa.

Under pressure Springboks coach Peter de Villiers could make several changes in preparation for the Tri-Nations - given that they've already won the series.

Bakkies Botha will have his appeal against a two-week ban for charging heard today.

Ian McGeehan has some tougher choices to make given the level of injuries he has to contend with.

Andrew Sheridan will probably start at loosehead, while John Hayes and Phil Vickery are in the running for the tighthead jersey.

Tommy Bowe and Jamie Roberts are expected to be fit but it's an open race between James Hook, Gordon D'Arcy, Keith Earls and Rikki Flutey to take Brian O'Driscoll's place in the cente.

The series is aleady lost but captain Paul O'Connell says pride in the red jersey will provide plenty of motivation.

The Munster second row says the players still have a lot to prove:

Gritty, moving and heroic...Billy plays captured life here

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ... Sunday's 30th anniversary screening of the seminal Too Late to Talk to Billy was riveting viewing. But it wasn't nostalgic viewing.

Surprise, surprise. Peter Robinson has been to his first gaelic match, Martin McGuinness is heading for Windsor Park and the Ulster Unionists have scored another own goal.

Why trying to go on a diet is never really a piece of cake

Some people make New Year’s resolutions, I make lists. Every new year I determine to keep track of everything I spend and everything I eat and drink.

Scary movie? Their jaws were sore from laughing

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
