Wednesday, 21 October 2009
Arsenal remain top of their Champions League group this morning despite a 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar in Holland last night.
The Gunners took the lead in the first half through Cesc Fabregas, but David Mendes Da Silva scored a late goal to secure a share of the points for the Dutch side.
The result leaves Arsenal one point clear of Olympiakos in Group H of the competition.
Elsewhere, Rangers' hopes of progressing to the knockout stages lie in tatters after a 4-1 home defeat to Romanian side Unirea.
The Scottish side are bottom of Group G with just one point from three games.
