Thomson passed fit to play in UEFA Cup final

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson has been passed fit to play in tonight's UEFA Cup final against Zenit St Petersburg.

More than 100,000 fans of the Glasgow club are expected to travel to Manchester for the game, which could see Rangers pick up their first European silverware since 1972.

Lee McCulloch is still a doubt for the game, while striker Daniel Cousin is suspended and goalkeeper Alan McGregor is also on the sidelines.
