Bohemians face Derry City in Ford Cup Final
Sunday, 23 November 2008
It is the biggest day of the domestic football calendar as the RDS plays host to the 88th FAI Ford Cup final. Bohemians face Derry City in a match that promises to be a fitting finale to the 2008 season.
Bohemians will be without the suspended Jason McGuinness and cup-tied Anto Murphy but otherwise are at full strength. Manager Pat Fenlon has some big decisions to make as his title winning squad all push for places in the starting XI.
Derry City captain Peter Hutton returns to contention and manager Stephen Kenny must decide whether to play the veteran defender or stick with Mark McCrystal to partner Clive Delaney in the heart of the defence.
The Candystripes have no injury concerns going into the cup final and Kenny will be hoping that his attacking sensations Niall McGinn and Mark Farren can help bring the FAI Ford Cup back to the Brandywell.
