Man City miss chance to go third in table
Monday, 19 October 2009
Manchester City squandered a chance to go third in the Premier League yesterday after drawing 1-1 with Wigan.
Mark Hughes' men had to come from behind, with Charles N'Zogbia giving Wigan the lead before a Martin Petrov equaliser earned City a share of the points.
The result means City remain fifth in the table behind Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Blackburn, meanwhile, are up to 12th after beating Burnley 3-2.
