Redknapp's Spurs secure 4-4 draw against Arsenal
Thursday, 30 October 2008
The Harry Redknapp effect appears to be working wonders for Tottenham after they managed a 4-4 draw with north London rivals Arsenal last night.
The Gunners were leading 4-2 with just five minutes left to play, but goals from Jermaine Jenas and Aaron Lennon secured a share of the points for Spurs.
The result has failed to lift Tottenham from the bottom of the Premier League table, but they now have six points from their opening 10 games.
Elsewhere last night, new Portsmouth manager Tony Adams saw his side lost 1-0 to table-toppers Liverpool at Anfield, while second-placed Chelsea beat Hull 3-0.
Manchester United, meanwhile, beat West Ham 2-0 thanks to two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, while there were also wins for Aston Villa, Stoke, Everton, Fulham and Middlesbrough.
In Scotland, Celtic are through to the semi-finals of the Co-operative Insurance Cup after beating Kilmarnock 3-1 at Rugby Park.
