Thursday, 30 July 2009
Aston Villa's player of the year, Stiliyan Petrov, is facing an anxious wait to determine the extent of a shoulder injury he picked up last night in the Peace Cup.
The Bulgarian midfielder dislocated his shoulder during the first half of Villa's 3-1 win over Atlante in Spain.
The club is expected to find out the extent of the damage within the next 48 hours.
Luke Young has already flown home from the Spanish trip after suffering a reaction to an ongoing thigh problem.
