Animal rights activists to picket hare coursing event
Wednesday, 6 February 2008
Animal rights activists are planning a major protest in Co Tipperary today as the country's largest annual hare coursing event gets underway in Clonmel.
The Campaign for the Abolition of Cruel Sports says the demonstration will mark the first time in 12 years that pickets have been placed on the meeting.
The organisation wants the Government to ban live hare coursing as hares are still being mauled despite the muzzling of the dogs involved in the sport.
It also says hares are traumatised and frequently suffer injuries while they are being caught.

Pethetic, creeps who think chasing an innocent hare or fox is some kind of status symbol.....How would you like to be ripped to pieces, what more you, than the hare or fox they just feel fear, and pain as you do......Or are you really so stupid you don't know this.
Get out of the dark ages, and GROW UP!
What kind of barbaric half wits do we have in this country. I would imagine that big grown men,and woman could find something more constructive to do other than chasing, and mauling an innocent gentle hare,or fox.....Grow up you stupid sadistic assholes...and try this with someone your own size.......Do you not realalise how really stupid, and silly you look.
It's 2009 wise up,and get real.
