Evening transport service extended until end of year
Friday, 3 July 2009
The Government has announced that the rural evening transport service, which was due to finish up next week, will now be extended until the end of the year.
The extension will be funded by unspent money previously allocated to Pobal by the Department of Community and Rural Affairs.
The scheme is aimed at providing transport to people in rural areas who want to go out socialising at night without having to worry about drink-driving limits.
