Four charged in connection with violent incidents in Tralee

Four men have appeared before a special sitting of Killorglin District Court in Kerry in relation to a number of violent incidents in Tralee.

30-year-old Robert Coffey, of Woodview Park, Tralee was charged over having a slash-hook, and 27-year-old Batty Coffey, of Cahereens West, Castleisland was charged with having an iron bar. Both men were remanded on bail, with a number of conditions, to appear again before Tralee District Court next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Michael O'Brien of St Martin's Park, Tralee was charged with threatening Martin Quilligan, leaving Quilligan to believe he would be killed or seriously harmed, and Tony Coffey of Cahereens West was charged with having an iron bar. The two were remanded in custody to Cork Prison, and are due to appear before Tralee District Court next Wednesday.
