Monday, 6 October 2008

The Food Safety Authority has expressed concern about the unusually high number of enforcement orders issued against food premises last month.

Nine orders were served for breaches of food safety legislation.

Closure orders were served on Mullally's grocery, Main Street, Roscrea, Co Tipperary; Wax/Spy Bar in Powerscourt Townhouse in Dublin; Ely Winebar on Ely Place in Dublin; and Fortune Star House take-away on Turkey Road, Tramore, Co Waterford.

Orders were also served on Five Alley Bar and Restaurant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, and China Garden take-away, Drogheda Street, Balbriggan in Dublin.
