Review recommends decentralisation of 4,000 NI jobs
Tuesday, 30 September 2008
An independent review in the North is recommending that up to 4,000 public sector jobs should be moved out of Belfast.
The review says the jobs should go to six locations, including Derry, Newry and Ballymena.
It says the relocation could create a "better economic balance".
Amongst those who would move would be the Department of Agriculture, the Victims and Survivors Commission and the Education and Skills Authority.
