Advert to inform Lynn of legal proceedings over home

Monday, 17 December 2007

An ad is to be placed in the London Times informing solicitor Michael Lynn of proceedings against him relating to his house in Howth, which is valued at €5m.

At least five financial institutions are owed at least five times the value of Glenlion House and a receiver has been appointed by the Mr Justice Peter Kelly.

Lawyers for Michael Lynn's wife, Brid Murphy, informed the court when asked that the 39-year-old Mayo native's whereabouts remained unknown, but that she had been talking to him by phone subsequent to last Wednesday, when her lawyers told the courts that her calls had remained unanswered.

Counsel for Ms Murphy said Lynn had informed her that Merriman White, the London-based law firm, was going to represent him.

The last time Ms Murphy says she saw her husband was a week ago in London at the offices of Merriman White.

Meanwhile, the judge appointed a receiver who will work on taking possession of Glenlion House in Howth so it can be sold.

An ad will be placed in the London Times as soon as possible informing Michael Lynn of the latest developments and he will be given eight days to reply.

Gritty, moving and heroic...Billy plays captured life here

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ... Sunday's 30th anniversary screening of the seminal Too Late to Talk to Billy was riveting viewing. But it wasn't nostalgic viewing.

Why trying to go on a diet is never really a piece of cake

Some people make New Year’s resolutions, I make lists. Every new year I determine to keep track of everything I spend and everything I eat and drink.

Scary movie? Their jaws were sore from laughing

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
