Boyzone star Ronan Keating has said he and fellow band members will find Christmas "tough" without Stephen Gately.

Keating, who goes on tour next year in Australia and the UK, said he, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch would be "together" on Boxing Day - St Stephen's Day - to remember their bandmate, who died on October 10 at his holiday home on the island of Majorca.

"It is going to be tough for all of us. We are going to be together on St Stephen's Day - we call it St Stephen's Day, you call it Boxing Day - just to kind of keep each other company and get through it as best we can," he told GMTV.

"We would always be together at Christmas so it is going to be hard this year."

Gately, who was 33, was discovered on the sofa after a night out partying with his civil partner Andrew Cowles.

A court official in Majorca said shortly after his death that the Irish star had died of natural causes and had suffered a pulmonary oedema, an accumulation of fluid on the lungs.

The Sun newspaper has reported that a forensics report had found that Gately had suffered from an undiagnosed heart condition and had died of heart failure.

A string of celebrities including Keating and his fellow bandmates attended a concert in his memory last month.

Scary movie? Their jaws were sore from laughing

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
