Dublin city speed limits to be cut to 30km/h
Tuesday, 6 October 2009
Traffic speed limits in Dublin city centre are set to be reduced from next year following a vote by city councillors.
The councillors have approved a plan to reduce speed limits to 30km/h between St Stephen's Green and the middle of Dorset Street and from Merrion Square to Church Street.
The restrictions, which will come into force on January 31st, are designed to cut the number of road deaths in the capital.
