FSAI investigates salmonella outbreak

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has launched an investigation following a food poisoning outbreak of Salmonella.
There have been eight cases of the bacteria reported so far and an unnamed company that supplies ingredients to the catering sector has since withdrawn its products from sale.
The FSAI is trying to establish the source of the outbreak and awaiting laboratory tests which should provide further information.
