Police have appealed for information after shot fired through window of house in Londonderry

Gunmen have fired a shotgun through a window at a house in Londonderry.

Two men were�in the�property in Carnhill at around 9.30pm when a gang of up to five masked and camouflaged�men tried to force their way in through the rear kitchen door.

When they could not do so they fired the shotgun through the door window before escaping.

There were no reports of any injuries. Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
