IMC: Dissident republicans still actively targeting police

The North's Independent Monitoring Commission's latest report says three dissident republican groups, the Real and Continuity IRA and the INLA, remain active in targeting police officers.

It also says that loyalists, while maintaining a public position in favour of decommissioning, are moving too slowly.

Commissioner Joe Brosnan, a former secretary of the Department of Justice, said today that a firm deadline should be set deadline.
