Legislation giving the Government the power to impose the controversial pension levy on the public sector is expected to pass through the final stages of the Dáil later.
The Bill is due to pass all stages by 10.30pm tonight and will then go before the Seanad.
The President is expected to sign the Bill into law later in the week which will mean the levy can be applied from next month.

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
