Sinn Fein accuses Government of not consulting public on Lisbon

Sinn Fein is accusing the Taoiseach of consulting with his European colleagues, but not with the Irish public, on the proposed second referendum on Lisbon.
Brian Cowen told this week's EU summit in Brussels that the Government would mount a strong campaign ahead of the ballot, which would probably be in the autumn.
Sinn Fein Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald claims a totally new treaty is needed.
