Second fox attack twin discharged
Thursday, 17 June 2010

The twins were found crying and covered in blood after the fox went into their upstairs bedroom in Hackney
Nine-month-old Isabella Koupparis joined her sister Lola in being allowed to go home.
In a statement, Barts and The London NHS Trust said: "Isabella Koupparis was discharged from The Royal London Children's Hospital to continue her recuperation at home following successful treatment."
Lola was discharged from the same hospital last Friday.
The twins were found crying and covered in blood after the fox went into their upstairs bedroom in Hackney, east London, on June 5.
It is thought to have crept in through a door on the ground floor of the smart three-storey house which was left open because of the hot weather, while the children's parents Pauline and Nick watched Britain's Got Talent on television.
The twins' four-year-old brother, Max, who was also sleeping upstairs, was not hurt.
Isabella had been transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for a time for further treatment, then returned to The Royal London Children's Hospital.
Family members have reportedly said the fox attack could be "life-changing" for the twins. Their mother discovered them looking "like something from a horror movie" after the mauling and described it as "like a living nightmare".
Lola had facial injuries and some puncture marks on her arm, while Isabella suffered injuries to her arm, she said.
