Students vow to fight rise in college registration fees
Tuesday, 27 October 2009
The Union of Students in Ireland is vowing to fight against any moves to increase college registration fees.
Dozens of students protested outside the Dáil this afternoon, amid fears that the charge may be increased to more than €2,000 in the upcoming budget.
The USI says it will force many students to drop out of college and president Peter Mannion says the charge is too expensive as things stand.
