Robert Mugabe arrives back in Zimbabwe after attending the African Union Summit
Saturday, 5 July 2008
Robert Mugabe has arrived back in Zimbabwe having attended the African Union Summit in Egypt.
The African leader immediately went on the offensive by calling on British companies based in Zimbabwe to withdraw from the country.
It coincides with claims from the opposition MDC party that pro-Mugabe militias killed 104 of its supporters and also abducted one of its MPs.
Shortly after stepping off the plane in Harare, he told waiting members of the media that he wasn't scared of sanctions and that people had to recognise him as President before he would negotiate.
