EU demands for aid work to resume in Zimbabwe
Saturday, 7 June 2008
President Robert Mugabe has banned them carrying out field work over claims they're campaigning for the opposition.
The charities are now unable to hand out food rations, and it is feared up to 4m people could be left starving.
Judith Melby from Christian Aid has completely refuted Mr Mugabe's allegations.
"Aid agencies in Zimbabwe are working there with humanitarian purposes and there is a huge humanitarian task there, but absolutely categorically Christian Aid are not working hand in glove with the opposition," she said.
