Saturday, 11 July 2009
Barack Obama is on his first trip to sub-saharan Africa since becoming President of the US.
Millions of people will tune in to see him talk in Ghana later.
He is expected to promote democracy and peace in the region.
Dr. Vincent Magombe from Africa Inform International says Mr Obama can play a vital role in the continent's future,
"I think it's very important for him to point out that this is what we want, governments that are accountable, governments that are democratic, governments that are transparent".
