11 killed in Pakistan military attack

Wednesday, 3 September 2008

At least 11 people have been killed in Pakistan, in an attack being linked to US forces from Afghanistan.

It happened in the northwest of the country, in a village known as a sanctuary for al-Qaeda and Taliban militants.

Locals say several houses were targeted by military helicopters, and it is thought ground troops may have been involved.
