21 die in coal mine accident in China
Sunday, 6 July 2008
21 workers are dead after an accident at a coal mine in northern China.
Four miners were saved by rescuers, while seven escaped on their own from the mine.
A preliminary probe into the accident shows it was probably caused by an explosion.
China's mines are the world's deadliest, with explosions, cave-ins and floods killing nearly 3,800 people last year.
