Pakistan denies involvement in Kabul bombing
Tuesday, 8 July 2008
Pakistan's Prime Minister has denied that his country's intelligence agency played any role in yesterday's suicide attack outside the Indian Embassy in Kabul.
The Afghan Interior Ministry has claimed that the bombing was carried out with the assistance of regional intelligence organisations, a clear reference to Pakistan.
However, Pakistani PM Yousuf Raza Gilani says his country has no interest in destabilising Afghanistan.
At least 41 people were killed and 150 others injured yesterday when a suicide car bomber blew himself up outside the embassy compound.
