At least 19 killed in Afghan earthquake

At least 19 people have been killed in an earthquake that destroyed dozens of homes in eastern Afghanistan early today.
The 5.5-magnitude quake hit Nangarhar province at around 2am, followed by a powerful aftershock two hours later.
Local police officials say the villages of Sargad Kheil and Khodi Kheil bore the brunt of the damage.
They say at least 19 people were killed, but one villager has reported at least 40 deaths.
