At least 24 people have died as a result of a scorching heatwave across several Indian states in recent days.
The highest temperature of 49 degrees Celsius was recorded in northern Uttar Pradesh state.
As well as the 24 confirmed deaths, the authorities are also investigating another 39 other fatalities that might be linked to the blistering heat.
