Bird flu kills Indonesian teenager
Sunday, 3 August 2008
A 19 year old factory worker in Indonesia has died of bird flu in a hospital just west of the capital, Jakarta, bringing the country's death toll from the virus to 112 people.
Indonesia has regularly recorded human deaths from bird flu since the virus began ravaging poultry stocks across Asia in 2003.
Its toll of 112 now accounts for nearly half the 240 recorded fatalities worldwide.
