Gary Glitter released from prison in Vietnam
Tuesday, 19 August 2008
Disgraced glam rocker Gary Glitter has been released from prison in Vietnam today after serving the majority of a three-year sentence for child sex offences.
The 64-year-old was jailed in March 2006 after being convicted of molesting two Vietnamese girls aged 10 and 11.
Glitter is set to be deported to Britain and is expected to arrive in London tomorrow morning.
Once he touches down, he will be met by police and required to sign the sex offenders' register.
He will then be subject to monitoring and will have to inform the police where he plans to live and if he plans to go abroad.

Let's hope no one lets him in and he has to spend his life in the limbo of international airport terminal.
