Violence continues in Mumbai

Friday, 28 November 2008

Five hostages have been found dead inside a Jewish centre in Mumbai as violence continues across the city.

More than 130 people have been killed in the attacks, while six terrorists are still thought to be inside the Taj Mahal Palace hotel.

Israeli officials had been monitoring the Indian commandos rescue attempts, as several Israeli citizens were unaccounted for in the region.

Israel's Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said everybody is paying the price for extremist violence.

There has been international condemnation of the attacks.
