70 Australians held in child pornography crackdown
Thursday, 5 June 2008
Australian police have arrested 70 people today as part of an international operation against child pornography.
The probe centres on a European website where a hacker posted pornographic images of children.
Almost 150,000 different computer users from 170 countries accessed the website in just 76 hours.
More than 2,800 of those were traced back to Australia, where the police say they expect to make more arrests.
