Colombia state governor found dead

A top state security official and the wife of a Colombia governor abducted by suspected leftist rebels have said his body has been found.
His kidnapping was the first of a major Colombian politician in years.
The body of Governor Luis Francisco Cuellar of Caqueta state was found less than 24 hours after his kidnapping.
Security official Edilberto Ramon Endo said it was found not far from the state capital where the 69-year-old governor was kidnapped on Monday night.
Police said a commando unit of between eight and 10 leftist rebels carried out the abduction.
Cuellar's wife, Himeldo Galindo, also confirmed the death. She was too distraught to offer details and Endo refused to say more.
