Six Muslim men have gone on trial in London accused of plotting to bomb public transport targets in the city two weeks after the July 7th attacks.
The men, who are all originally from Africa, are accused of involvement in a string of allegedly botched suicide bombings on July 21st, 2005.
They are charged with conspiring to murder and cause explosions.
The prosecution claims they intended to explode home-made bombs surrounded by screws, tacks, washers and nuts in order to cause maximum injury to London commuters.
