Third street closed in London due to suspicious vehicle
Friday, 29 June 2007
Police in London have closed a third street due following the discovery of another suspicious vehicle.
At 5pm, a police spokesperson confirmed that the city's Fleet Street had been cordoned off between Fetter Land and Ludgate Circus.
This follows the closure of Park Lane earlier this afternoon, and the discovery of a car bomb in Haymarket in the early hours of this morning.
It's believed the Park Lane closure is due to the discovery of a vehicle at an underground car park.
Assistant Police Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur has asked people in London to be vigilant, and to report any suspicious activity to them.
