Monday, December 31, 2007
British union and airport bosses are locked in talks aimed at averting strikes next month.
Thousands of workers are planning to walk out in a row over pensions - causing serious problems for travellers.
Officials from BAA are meeting leaders of Unite and the Public and Commercial Services Union.
The strikes would hit all of BAA's airports; Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
