Greater chance of allergies in peanut-eating families

A baby's chances of developing allergies is thought to increase in families where people eat lots of peanuts.
Research for the Food Standards Agency found it can be a significant factor.
They think it's because of exposure to peanuts through the skin or by breathing in nut particles.
