UK study finds no link between MMR and autism
Tuesday, 5 February 2008
Another study in the UK has concluded that there is no evidence to support claims of a link between the MMR vaccine and autism.
The number of children receiving the injection fell significantly after a small study in 1998 raised fears about a possible link.
However, several studies since then have found that no evidence to support the claim.
The latest research, the largest of its kind in the UK, looked at almost 250 children aged between 10 and 12 and concluded that MMR is a safe vaccine.
