Bomb explodes outside home of Greek MEP
Friday, 30 October 2009
A small bomb has exploded outside the home of a prominent conservative politician today.
Nobody was injured in the pre-dawn blast outside the Athens home of MEP Marietta Giannakou.
A warning call was issued ahead of the explosion.
The blast comes as the Greek authorities battle an increase in violence by left-wing militant groups following massive riots triggered by the police's fatal shooting of a teenage boy last year.
