Fatalities feared in gun rampage at Finnish college
Tuesday, 23 September 2008
An unknown number of people are feared dead following a shooting rampage by a student at a college in western Finland this morning.
The police will only say that several people have been wounded, but local media have reported fatalities.
The incident happened this morning at a trade school in the small town of Kauhajoki.
The police say they have disarmed and captured the gunman, who apparently posted video messages on YouTube ahead of the shooting.
Last November, a Finnish student killed eight people at a high school in Tuusula before turning his gun on himself.
He also posted a message on YouTube.
