France, Portugal and Norway guarantee deposits

European leaders are meeting in Paris to try to find a joint solution to the crisis crippling the world's financial markets.
The Taoiseach Brian Cowen is among the leaders attending the talks.
In last few hours France, Portugal and Norway have all said they'll offer guarantees to keep their struggling financial institutions afloat.
Ireland has already guaranteed the deposits and loans of banks operating here.
