Ryanair plane makes emergency landing
Friday, 29 August 2008
A Ryanair plane has had to make an emergency landing, as the pilot feared that he could not land safely.
The jet was arriving in Ciampino airport in Rome en route from Milan, when a warning light began flashing.
The captain believed that the aircraft's undercarriage had failed to fully extend and was forced to divert the plane to a second airport in the Italian capital.
It has since emerged that the alert was due to a faulty indicator light.
