Tuesday, 24 July 2007
At least 22 people have been killed and dozens more injured in a suicide car bombing in a Shi'ite city in southern Iraq today.
The blast happened at around 9am local time in a busy commercial district of Hillah.
At the time, the streets were packed with shoppers and people making their way to work.
Hillah, which is located around 60 miles south of Baghdad, has been site of frequent bomb attacks, including a double suicide bombing that killed 120 people in March.
